Footballer Jamie Vardy is set to wed his fiancee in a lavish
ceremony tomorrow.
A number of the 29-year-old striker's current and former
teammates, including best man David Nugent, will be at the wedding at the
exclusive Peckforton Castle, in Cheshire.
But among those missing the big day will be Vardy's parents,
who have not spoken to their son in over a year due to an apparent row over
bride-to-be Becky Nicholson.

not be there to watch their son tie the knot.
Phil said the row has been going on ever since 34-year-old
Miss Nicholson, a former nightclub promotion worker, 'came on the scene'.
He said: 'I don't have anything directly to do with my son
any more. It's a shame and very sad.'
Mother Lisa added: 'I'll never say anything about my son,
good or bad. I'm not bothered. I get up, go to work and look after my family.
I'll not go to the fancy wedding.'
The couple have secured an exclusive deal with Hello!
Magazine for their wedding photos.
Vardy is understood not to have spoken to his parents in
more than a year. It is not known whether they have seen Sofia, Vardy's
daughter with Miss Nicholson.
Grandparents Gerald and Mavis will also not be attending.
Gerald has said previously that it was 'that woman' who had come between the
footballer and his mother.
Photographs taken today show wedding suppliers arriving at
the venue, with preparations truly underway.

In eight years, Vardy has come from playing in the eighth
tier of English football to winning the Premier League with 5,000-1 underdogs
Leicester City.
The story is a true rags-to-riches tale, with the former
factory worker's 27 goals this season earning him a cool £80,000-a-week deal
with the East Midlands club.
He has now been called up as part of the England squad for
part of the European Championships this summer - although the tournament nearly
led to him calling off his wedding for a second time.
Vardy has already moved his nuptials three times to accommodate
England commitments.
He has now been given special leave by manager Roy Hodgson
to hold the wedding tomorrow, although he has been warned he faces a public
'battering' if he overindulges.
'I hope he will be sensible and I believe he will be
sensible,' said Hodgson.
'I know he really is desperate to be selected to go to the
Euros and do a good job so I'm pretty confident when I see him on Saturday
morning he will be fine.'
Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater has dispensation
to attend the service but Vardy's other England colleagues will not be there
because of their training schedule in preparation for Friday's friendly with
Australia.
Hodgson said: 'Jamie invited everybody, but of course we
can't go. Having said that, we train at 5pm on Wednesday. His wedding is at 2pm
so there is a possibility, and I have allowed Danny Drinkwater to stop off for
the wedding and then join us at 4pm for the training session.'
Speaking on Sunday, Vardy said: 'I have been given the day
off for the wedding and then I'm straight back in to prepare for Friday so I
should be available.
'It will be a very quiet night on Wednesday. Obviously, I
hope all the guests have a good time but I will have a quiet one.
'I've not got a curfew but I'm a professional and understand
what has to be done so will be making sure I get plenty of sleep ready to come
back in.'
However any plans for a honeymoon have been postponed.
Vardy added: 'There is no honeymoon. I'll have to take that
next year some time.'
After being released by boyhood club Sheffield Wednesday
when he was 16, Vardy began working 12-hour shifts at a carbon fibre factory to
get by.
At 22 he was playing semi-professional for non-league
Stocksbridge Park Steels, earning £30-a-week.
A year later he went to Halifax Town, netting 29 goals in
his breakthrough season before being sold to Fleetwood Town for £150,000.
His eye for goal continued and 31 goals in 36 games saw then
Championship strugglers Leicester City pay £1million for him in 2012. After
helping the Foxes gain promotion last year, he has lit up the Premier League
competition this season.
According to reports, Vardy has signed a £250,000 book deal
to pen his memoirs about his career. He is also said to be liaising with
Hollywood film bosses keen to turn his incredible story into movie gold.
Persistent: Becky turned Jamie down several times before she
agreed to go on a date with the footballer

She might be the world's most understanding fiancee.
While many women might have to fight for their partner's
attention when football is on the TV, Rebekah Nicholson has already changed her
wedding date twice to accommodate the sport.
Not that can be much of a surprise when your husband-to-be
is Jamie Vardy: a record-breaking Premier League goal scorer.
Now tomorrow, a year after she was first set to walk down
the aisle, Rebekah and Vardy will tie the knot in what is set to be a
glittering ceremony

daughter Sofia at the Premier League celebrations

Rebekah, who has been married once before, has kept the
details of her wedding gown under wraps, although she has shared a handful of
updates with her 11,000 Twitter followers.
One photo shows her brunette bridesmaids sipping champagne,
posted with the caption: 'Final dress fittings with these gorgeous girls today.
Just missing one little lady'.
Her excited post suggests that the mother-of-three might be
planning on including one of her two daughters in her wedding party.
However while Rebekah enjoys posting little tidbits on
social media followers - where she already calls herself 'Becky Vardy' - very
little is known about the blushing bride-to-be.
Rebekah is believed to have first married, and divorced, as
a teenager.
In the wake of her split, the attractive brunette claims she
enjoyed a night of passion with pop star Peter Andre. At the time she was
living in Oxfordshire and running her own travel business.
She later told-all in 2001 interview with the News of the
World, saying she was fed up with him bragging about his prowess in the
bedroom.
She said: 'He was the worst lover I have ever had.'
By the time she met Vardy 15 years later, Rebekah, was
already a mother to daughter Megan and son Taylor.
The former nightclub promotions worker had been tasked with
organising a birthday party for a VIP client - who she later discovered was
Vardy, a striker for Leicester City.
Rebekah has revealed that while Vardy made his intentions
clear early on, she didn't feel an 'immediate attraction.
She told the Sunday Mirror: 'It took a lot of persuasion on
Jamie’s part to get me remotely interested.
'I must have said "No thanks I’m not interested"
for the best part of two months - he was very persistent though, asking me to
go for a drink.'
Rebekah now credits her fiance's determination for their
relationship, which seemed stronger than ever when they appeared together after
Leicester City's Premier League win earlier this month.
Miss Nicholson was by Vardy's side when he lifted the
trophy, along with their 15-month-old daughter Sofia, who was dressed in a
Leicester top with 'Daddy' emblazoned on the back.
She also hosted a party for Leicester City players on the
night the team discovered they had been crowned champions - later revealing it
was 'pretty wild towards the end'.
But despite her support for her partner's career, Rebekah
has insisted that she does not want to be 'seen purely as a WAG'.
She's spoken of her admiration for Victoria Beckham and
wants to be seen in her own right for her contribution to the striker's
success.
'Just calling me a WAG feels very outdated,' she has said.
'We're a team in exactly the same way that the Leicester lads work as a team.'
The strength of their family unit was made clear when Vardy
stepped out for England last month. Next to the names of his own daughters -
his eldest, Ella, is five - were 'Taylor' and 'Megan'.
The whole family is expected to be sitting front row for the
big day tomorrow, which has already attracted extensive media attention - and a
deal with Hello! Magazine.
